On January 10th, Dr. Noguera will be a featured speaker in a series hosted by the Graduate School at the University of Washington. His lecture will focus on strategies that have proven effective in supporting and cultivating effective teaching in schools and how to motivate and engage all types of students. The event is sold out, with some standby seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In preparation for the lecture, Neal Morton of the Seattle Times interviewed him about promising solutions being done to raise achievement for Seattle-area students.
